To me, Ornatos Violeta are one of the best acts in Portuguese music, ever. Of all their songs, “Ouvi Dizer” was the one that challenged me most to write a classical guitar arrangement — for its structure and for the way the melody unfolds.
The hardest part was fitting the voice and the piano onto a single guitar, and working on it bit by bit, between lessons, projects and everyday life. In the end, what stayed with me was the joy of having got there — and the wish to do it even better one day.
