The first time I heard Deolinda, I immediately noticed the roots in traditional Portuguese music and fado — but with such a personal touch that it wins over even people who say they don’t like those genres. “Um Contra o Outro” was one of the songs that made me want to write an arrangement for classical guitar.
It turned out to be one of the most demanding arrangements I’ve ever written and played: bringing the guitars, the double bass line and the voice together on a single instrument was no easy task — as the sigh at the end of the video proves. But it was worth it.
Sheet music, tab and practice audios for this arrangement — €9.99
- Sheet music and tab (PDF), with the left-hand fingering exactly as I play it

It’s the arrangement I get asked for the most. You pay once, by PayPal or card, and you get your personal download link by email as soon as I confirm the payment (usually within a few hours).
