Privacy policy

How I handle your data when you visit this website, in plain language.

This website belongs to Sérgio Raimundo Cavaco, who is responsible for the data collected here. I only collect what is necessary and I never sell or share your data with anyone. For any questions, write to me.

What data I collect and why

  • Contact and transcription request forms: your name, email and what you write, so I can reply to you. The message is stored on the website and sent to my email.
  • Free downloads: your email, to send you the link to the files. I only send you news (new tabs and sheet music) if you tick that option on the form, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Purchases: your email, to send you the instructions and the files. If you pay with MB WAY, also your name and mobile number, only to send you the payment request.
  • Email subscription: your email, to send you new articles and downloads. It is managed by Jetpack (WordPress.com) and you can unsubscribe from any email you receive.
  • Comments: your name, email and comment, to publish it and filter spam.
  • Statistics: Jetpack counts visits in aggregate, so I know which content is most useful. It does not identify you personally.

Third-party services

To work, this website uses some external services, which may receive your IP address and, in some cases, set cookies:

  • YouTube: the videos embedded in pages and articles.
  • WordPress.com / Jetpack: statistics, subscriptions, comments and image delivery.
  • PayPal: if you pay with PayPal, the payment is made on PayPal’s website. I never see or store your card details.
  • Google Fonts: the website’s fonts.
  • Gravatar: profile pictures in comments.

Links to PaidTabs, YouTube and other social networks take you to websites with their own privacy policies.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. This website uses them to work, to measure visits and through the services above. You can delete or block them in your browser settings; some features, such as videos, may stop working.

How long I keep your data

I keep contact messages for as long as they are useful for our conversation. Your subscription email is kept until you unsubscribe. The email you give to receive the downloads is kept until you ask me to delete it. Purchase data is kept for as long as needed to support you and meet legal obligations.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its processing. Just write to me. If you believe your data has not been handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (cnpd.pt).
